I've seen the gimmick and it's INCREDIBLE. However, I really don't think the effect is as cool as the gimmick. The effect could easily be replicated with slight of hand.

Just ordered this as well. While I don't have it as yet, thanks to Penguin I was able to watch Rick Lax's instruction on his version of vanishing the quarter. The gimmick does all of the work for you - no sleight of hand necessary. Could the gimmick be replaced with sleight of hand? No doubt about it....BUT it certainly could not be done so "easily". This is very, very slick. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Can you use the deck as a regular deck before and after?
Does the gimmick come in a particular back color or anything like that?

Depends on what you want to do. You cant do a trick with the full deck... a bit similar to the range of effects you can do with Chris Weihl's Arthur

You probably would want to do a deck switch (I favor Shawn Farquhar's) rather than using this one for another trick...

Looks really interesting - very visual.

Could this be used to vanish a coin, only for it to appear in say the Nest of Wallets?

It looks cool but how many one trick ponies can you have or use?

The gimmick provided with this has a lot of other possibilities beyond the included routine. It's pretty clever in my opinion.

My pleasure Gilles!

My second thought was then how to justify the pack of cards. One way could be to:

- get the spectator to sign a card, then control it using a TKO2
- use the Block Buster to vanish their coin
- find the coin in the Nest of Wallets
- find their card in an impossible location (e.g. envylope).

Quite a few gimmicks! But a double reveal - would be interesting to see which element gets the better reaction.

How difficult or easy is it to perform... slights?

Very easy...
The gimmick is very well crafted, and works with just a slight touch... stays in place... I can't imagine an improvment on the mechanics.
The slights are few and not hard and there's plenty of cover.
I prefer Rick Lax's handling... a different placement of the selected card and a different shuffle that make it easier for me than Mark Mason's.
No one suspects this gimmick so no one has seen it or looked for it.
The trick could be a great segue from a set of card tricks to coin tricks or visa versa.

Not quite one trick;
Once you've vanished the coin you have it.... you have it in a place where you can steal it OR reveal it...
So there are lot's of possibilities...

I guess the pony I was talking about was the deck. It wasn't obvious to me that the effect was strong enough to justify carrying a deck that I did not think could be used for much else. Of course this is entirely a matter of taste. I often purchase things I overlooked when I see Rack perform them and I am sure that coming from Mark's company it works exactly as advertised.

Not true. I don’t want to expose anything... (I had a more revealing reply typed out and just deleted most of it!)... but you can carry a complete, normal deck of Bikes with this. Then it just takes one ditch and you're free to move on with that same deck.

Would a TKO2 work for the ditch?

Okay guys....

Blue or Red??

I usually use Red decks, but people are saying that Blue hides the secret better.

Anyone owning the Red Version and wished they bought the Blue Version?
