What a wonderful lecture! I finally got to watch it last night and got so much out of it I watched it twice. Ken is very generous in sharing so much. A treat to see pieces from Bairn performed live. Great ideas, great routines, great thinking and funny too.

I really enjoyed this lecture, and wish I had it last month as E1 would have been a great way to end my last show. That said, the value for money is great here. I got two effects that will be going into my upcoming show for 30 dollars, that's a steal. Thanks Ken for an enjoyable evening watching the lecture, and for giving me new use for an old deck of cards.

Slick, intelligent, and making some points I am super glad have been made. This lecture was absolute gold. Ken's effortless performances show his time in front of real people, and when a real worker speaks I think it's time to listen. I love Ken's thinking, it's powerful and accessible mentalism. In a time when everyone is looking for the 'real work' on mentalism, they really need look no further than this lecture. Everyday, reliable, and strong mentalism that plays for a variety of crowds. I am a big fan. I also love the fact Ken was honest when something was just an idea that had never been seen by real people. To paraphrase The Princess Bride, he is a man of honour, lies do not become him.

Enjoyed the lecture, I liked the way he presented himself. It's the sort of thing you need to watch a couple of times because you miss some of his quips and humour the first time, at least I did.

Got to say Ken's lectures was superb, nothing short of brilliant. The highlights for me was his Heads and Tails and card at any number. My thoughts are still reeling at the shear simplicity and the impact H & T has. Mind blowing.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching Ken in action. I've had the privilege of him sharing much of his work with me, but it was great to see him in performance mode (which, incidentally, is not much different from the him having coffee and chatting mentalism). Really bummed that E1 was chosen to be on the lecture, but that's Ken for you with his generosity.

Good fun, great material, from a great guy.

I can't get over this young man's stage presence.

Yes, his effects are fine and certainly worthy of any act, corporate or otherwise, but what struck me was his persona. I wish I had a fraction of his confidence when I was his age. You watch him and relax. You know you're in good hands.

It's usually not too difficult to peg a performer. Many times he'll supply you with all the details. Wife, kids, divorce, etc. I watched Kennedy's lecture twice and I still know very little about him. He mentions his girlfriend during part of his explanation but he's so OCD I wonder if that was a slip or intentional.

So he's a mystery and I want to know more. That's apparently the effect he's after so he succeeded with me. Very old school in a way harking back to a time when entertainers didn't feel the need to tweet their every freakin' thought and action.

Stagecraft. Back story. Who are you exactly when you're on stage. No talked about much in these lectures. Hope he's invited back. Like to hear him discuss these topics.

BTW, I found his book Bairn to be a hoot. Funny. Edgy. Fresh.

I always love Ken's stuff. I truly believe that he gets what entertaining with mentalism today in a commercial sense is all about. Great sense of humor, no nonsense, and reliable and simple methods that are stunners to lay audiences. I actually tire quite easily and quickly with most lectures in the "here's the trick, here's the method" format, but Ken used the methods to discuss ideas and performance concepts that are quite noteworthy.

A funny story: I had fun recently this past week performing a few shows and used the heads/tails bit with great success. The audience reactions were unbelievable, except for one show--let's just say don't do this in a midnight show when people have been drinking. In all of my years of experience I don't know what I was thinking when I tried doing this. It was a cabaret show for about 100 people and the dude I had described in the prediction wouldn't participate at all! AAAHHHH! I tried rescuing the bit, but with no success. I tried looking for a close second, but to no avail. Trying to disguise method and such here, but those in the know are well aware of what I'm referring to. It was funny to me how something so simple can go so wrong if you misjudge your audience. But I digress...

I recommend this lecture to anyone looking for practical and effective tips for performing material for paying audiences and keeping them highly entertained.

Ah Marc Spelmann's was great.

This one was very educative too, though it seems like every performer is doing the old coin spin force in their lectures Smile

Thanks for the kind words. Did think I'd addressed the 'every mentalist is doing the coin spin thing' in my comments during the lecture? Maybe you missed it Smile

Sincerely though, I'm so pleased that so many got something out of the lecture - even if it was a model of the future of hair styling.
