I am not sure if this is a Grand Illusion, but this is a quick video of any acrobat that I built a couple of years ago. Sort of an Antonio Diavolo kind of figure. I constructed him for a cruise ship and upon completion they decided to go in a 'different direction.' He was disassembled and unceremoniously tossed into a box. I moved into a new house and was going through boxes and I wondered if he still worked. I had never sorted out a routine for him and there are a few details that I noticed after I shot the video. He is also lacking the Robert-Houdin character who would place him on the bar, interact with him and at the end catch him as he releases the bar. I am hoping to find such a person and I will practice and re-post at a later date. The figure is about 24 inches tall. He is capable of doing other tricks, but as I said.. I have not spent much time on a routine. I hope you enjoy him! Here is his video https://youtu.be/VkAmRh1cKOk

I always have waaaayyy too many projects going on, but I would drop a lot of them to take on a project like this. Ever since I first saw Antonio Diavolo, I have wondered where I could learn about automaton mechanisms.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

Thanks Clinton, I wish I would have waited and posted a proper video with the finale where he jumps off of the bar, but I get impatient. I am still looking for a performer to present him and interact with the figure.
