Cool tech and looks well made but the effects don't look that strong to me. Basically a 1 in 5 effect.

I actually think the 1 in 5 would be one of the weaker things you could with this.
Several (I think 5 would be overkill) spectators "select" a card (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). As each of them touches your name tag, it changes to their card. I think this would make more sense if it wasn't a name tag for this presentation, but if this is popular, I'm guessing (hoping) that we will see other versions of this come out. |

I'd rather use this for a 1 in 5 chance. Esp routines can be quite powerful.
It doesn't mean you'd just use that, but imagine doing a routine where in the beginning you let them choose a symbol.. Then throughout the multi-phase routine you keep asking if they want to change their mind. At the very end, you can reveal to them the prediction you've had all along for a nice finale! |

I think doing multiple changes would telegraph that the holder is doing all the work.

Also, I've used the WOW gimmick similarly (not with multiple changes), and say that it's a high-tech mind reading device (a prototype of a new type of fMRI) activated by their touch. Gets great reactions! I care more about entertainment than puzzlement. |

I like the multiple change. But, I rather do the effect for 1 in 5. ESP and written prediction would do great with this, IMO. In different premise, using this gimmick as a WOW effect is a fun bonus. My gut tells me-- with a little experiment, I think we can print out our own predictions to go with our personal routines. That's what make me want to buy this. But alas, I spend a lot lately..

Imagine Maddy's card's moods routine combine with this multiple change.. Oh, it's a beauty. And it won't be just a 2 secs miracle ;-)

I'm planning to do three changes with this gimmick though, to me 5 changes just seems too ... Impossible ... 3 changes for me , would be faster and hitting

My only question is 'does the tag have to be viewed at a certain angle or from a certain side'?

The holder can be examined but not the predictions I have been reliably informed 😃

You will need a little handling practice with it but the operation of it is very easy. At the end you can not hand out the prediction (unless you switch it), it would have been nice to have had a set of cards (for the non card reveals) you could hand out included, but the holder can be examined all they like. With a simple switch on the card predictions I can see some real mileage in this. It's nice to see something new on the market and the gimmick being built into the name tag gives some justification for having it which is nice. We have these in stock ready to ship http://www.saturnmagic.co.uk/new-magic/n......jiu.html

Hi Mark,
Do you think a blank face card can do the trick? We can write the prediction on the blank side. |

You have to use the cards provided, they do appear to be blank in some cases and you appear to write on them.

I know. What I mean is-- we can prepare a prediction using our own blank card so we can switch and hand it to the spec. To get an extra mile?

It is shame normal cards were not provided for switching, you can use normal cards for the card reveals and switch with the gimmick, you do get a rider back and ESP gimmick so if you make up a set using blank cards you could switch them with some thought. If this goes down well I can see them proceeding all sorts of cards using this principle it is very clever.

I just got this directly from the creator... He was a good friend of mine... And he already told me about this product since a few months ago... I was excited about that because obviously I always use a normal name tag when I perform at my gig... And when I heard about this, I thought this will be great for working magician who usually use a name tag at gig... So I'm very happy when this product finally released...
So what in the box : you will receive a Dvd and 4 gimmicks , 2 with bicylce back designed and 2 with "name tag" back designed.... You also get a name tag holder with string... You will get a complete package so you can try it right out of the box.... The gimmick is very very well made... So precision.... The holder was made from plastic but with really good quality... The 4 cards gimmicks also printed in bicycle stock... And as long as the card doesn't get wet or contaminated with water, I think it will last you long time... The name tag holder it self I think really looks like a normal name tag so it will looks innocent in front of spectator's eyes... The fact that this is a just reguler name tag that we usually use is a really great justification for this props... The effect it self is really awsome... Just like what you see in the demo... For me, I like the Esp routine... But I think the possibilities with this props is endlees... You can start develope your own routine with this gimmick... So overall I think this is a MUST HAVE gimmick especially for working magician... I can't see anyone will be dissapointed with this one... Again another great product from Agus Tjiu... I hope I can see more of his products in the future... Congrats Tjiumagic... Diga |
