This case could easily be adapted to use as a manipulation table by putting a set of Viking legs on it. I guess really it could just be a platform show case too.

I think the OP's link points to a really good case. It's similar to a pilot's/catalog/lawyer's case in the sense that the narrow end opens (as opposed to the wider side hinging up like an attache) and you get a nice open-top case to work out of. I have an aluminum one and a fake leather one but found it hard to utilize the depth of the case, as I ended up having props stacked on other props and it was a bit cumbersome to get to the bottom ones and return them without some fumbling.

I've been very successful using a spare laptop briefcase for my transporting/storage for most of my close up stuff. I even found some small plastic dividers in the school section at Walmart that keeps everything separated in the case.

+1 for the Harbor Freight aluminum case: https://www.harborfreight.com/18-in-x-6-......271.html . I bought two last weekend, and they're unbeatable for $29.99. Notably, they're the perfect depth for a vertical deck of cards.

I just read this entire thread again, to refresh my mind about what has been said.
When I was working full time in schools for 50 years, I would often do 15 shows a week. I needed to open the case, which for years has been a 'fat' attache type case. It's 13" x 20" x 8". The inside is divided with little thin cardboard boxes (like the little "pills" come in that you can use to soak your dentures in over night). The props are all on one layer, except for 3 linking rings, and the 'flash cloth" that covers the lid, while I'm working. When the case is opened, the rings "hang on the back "wall" of the case on a bull dog clip. Each prop is picked up, the trick performed, and the prop goes immediately back into it's "pigeon hole". Pre show set up is about 2 minutes. (Silk into dye tube, 20th Century silk loaded, "What's Next" card spots, set, two rope gags, set, etc. When the show is over, the flash cloth is folded loosely and goes on top of the props. Ditto, the 3 rings in their cloth bag. I use a waiters' type of cross legs with wheels, so, when I'm in the school, I can put the prop case on the wheeled table and push it to the gym or auditorium. My young friend, Colton Raelund took a picture of he open case, last week, and will put it here when he gets time. I hope this has helped! Oh...the prop case weighs about 22 lbs, when it's loaded. PS The plastic bag storage of small props is for spare props carried along in a separate storage case.

Nice case thank for posting. I use this one, which has movable dividers and an upper section. $24.95 also makes it a bit more affordable. Not better just another option. https://www.harborfreight.com/18-in-x-6-......272.html I presently have a leather case on the way that I will review after it comes. Take care.
