Coca Cola has a rewards program where you enter points on bottle caps and can redeem them for prizes.
One of the "prizes" I redeemed my points for was a "4 in 1 10x25 Binocular/Camera" combination. I used it on the old IBM laptop running Windows XP and it worked fine. Then I lost the cord for several months. I just found the cord again and tried to hook up the camera to my new HP laptop running Windows 8.1 I found out the drivers built into the camera don't recognize Windows 8.1. Shoot! ![]()

Sometimes the new drivers are on the product company's website, listed under "Support" or "Downloads." I had a scanner that I was able to get running again that way.

Nope, looked around for that. Apparently they haven't updated their drivers, they give a list of OSs they support and it stops with Windows XP.
I'm not 100% certain they still exist as a company anymore.

I'm pretty sure Coca Cola still exists.

Windows 7 had a Windows XP Mode. I'm pretty sure you can get that with/form Windows 8.

Look into running the drivers in "compatibility" mode. I've an older version of the game Civilization. It won't run on Windows 8, but I can right click on the icon and get into compatibility mode that allows me to select an older version of Windows on which to run the game. Sorry I can't give specific screen shots as it's on my other laptop.

I can't get the drivers to load onto Windows 8 to look for a "compatibility" mode. What I'll have to do is download a Windows XP emulator and see if I can go from there. The point of the camera was to take pictures of things far away while in Walt Disney World and that won't be till next year, so I have time to think out my options.
