I do not know where that is could you please tell me? The only magic shop I know of is the one in the Riverwalk and they are very over priced.

Denny and Lee is a good contact related to many magic effects and that is why I buy off him. His Zombies aren't cheap.
I have about a dozen thing-a-ma-gigs, and as Kylle said GGeneral Grant makes the best. My thing-a-ma-gig, floata the Atomic Light, another one ignites flash paper, another one colapses to 4 inches, some have teo fingers, others one. My balls a large one and a small one do come apart. The real key is the lip which is at least one inch. The cheaper modles have a quarter inch lip for the thing-a-ma-gig. (Not sturdy) The six inch Gagetr is just that a real small one and it goes with a real cheap ball. Don't own this one but saw one. General Grant makes Zombie Ball Topits or at least he sells the pattern if your interested in vanishing the ball.

I like the Tommy Wonder Levitation best. There is a new system from Losander called the "Animated Sphere" coming out. I would wait for this.

Jkta99,
Magic in general is very expensive. You are going to spend money for the equipment and the effect. You will make thousands of dollars performing. This one effect alone. Without it you make nothing. So you have to ask yourself if the effect is worth you learning and practicing the trick so you can perform shows and charge for them. I think what you really ment is that the local magic shop is over priced for you. It is not overpriced for others. They must make a profit for you to be able to go into their store and enjoy all they have to offer. I posted the site to purchase the cheapest and best Zombie for the price they post. You still need a routine and that you can purchase many video and books to get. |

No it is not that they are overpriced for me it is that they are located in a location that would require them to charge mor for the tricks. I have seen the tricks and I know that I can get the same quality product someplace else for cheaper. And I am not afraid to spend money as that is realy not a problem for me.
Thanks for your help James |

Tommy Wonder's material is detailed in his Books of Wonder. (Both of which you should own and read and re-read) Dirk's work is available on DVD. His lecture is great, too! Be well ~ Fredrick

You guys should consider using something other than a ball to do the zombie.
Just about anything can be floated and this way you can customize the zombie into your act. It's not too hard to modify various things to float. I have a 5" Red M&M doll that I modified for the zombie and it works out really well. People (especially kids) really get into it. Also, do a spongebob and a softball.

Modifying your zombie is one great way to tie the effect into the theme of your show or of your stage act. It adds some more creativity.
