The collective noun for Crows is "a murder" of Crows like the collective noun for lions is "a pride" of Lions.
It was perhaps some misplaced humor but we meant no offense. The discussion just seemed to steer that way. -Mary Mowder |

Actually, it wasn't misplaced. It was pretty clever but you simply didn't get the joke.

Let's send the dentist to Zimbabwe and close GTMO. Makes perfect sense.
Honestly I am not sure how guilty the dentist is. He definitely killed the lion. What I don't know is if he knew about the lion and targeted him or the guides did it. But I would not send an American Citizen to be tried in Zimbabwe, as I do not trust their legal system (sorry). Let's face it. It is one of those cases where he is guilty until proven innocent. And I believe the punishment is harsh. Also I would imagine once he is there, we do not have much control of what happens to him.

Believe it or not, Americans don't have the right to make the laws of other countries.
Just a reminder.

Would you send your son or daughter to be judged in another country if caning was the punishment? I am not saying caning is the punishment because I doubt that it is. But the question is still would you send your son or daughter to trial in a foreign country?. I believe a long prison term is possible for his offense if found guilty. I just have a feeling the prisons over there are not very good. And many here feel that prison is for reforming not punishment. Remember that topic? I believe that I read somewhere that if the same punishment can be carried out in the United States for the same crime in Zimbabwe, he cane tried here in the United States if we so choose. Not sure about this.
