I don't want to derail whatever the gist of this thread may be,
 but some years ago I was doing some work at Universal Studios in Florida and was in the Kongfrontation ride when they were doing some repairs and such. They had taken the monkey suit off one of the King Kong robotic figures (which was maybe twenty-five feet high), and the pile of fur must have been ten feet wide by six feet high. It was awesome. You don't get to see that every day.
