This routine uses a hybrid of moves gleamed from different effects, with a few ideas thrown in of my own to create my coins across. Hope y'all like it.

The relaxed manner will play very well for general audiences, especially those unfamiliar with coin effects.
You flat hand consistency is impressive. I could see this as a lead in to other effects since those without close attention at fist can be drawn in. If this can be done (apparently done) with borrowed quarters it would be even better.

Thanks for your comment, this routine can be used with borrowed coins, all you need to add is one s***l. I've been doing this exact routine for about 5 years using borrowed coins.  |

Hi 360, Welcome to the Café…
I like your handling there, very nice play. I can tell it would blow specs away as to the magical movement of the coins. The use of a little something extra always helps to bring about a bit of impossibilia that just makes it all amazing. I don't do much down on a table anymore, but if I did, yours is a good one to learn, nice mixture of this & that. Good job!

Nice routine. I guess you're located in England? It's nice you can borrow coins that size (10 pence?). In the U.S., the largest coins that can nowadays be borrowed are quarters. I think borrowing the coins has to add to the effect in laymen's eyes.

Half dollars are still being minted, I believe, but they haven't been in general circulation for about 30 years (you see them very rarely every now and then). I used to be able to borrow a half dollar to do copper/silver, but no more.

You do it very well. It does however look a lot like Kennedy's Translocation. Some of the R.H. shows are different but the coins get across the same way. The backfire ending is a nice change from the vanish of the last coin while they burn the hand. But since it did not start in a four coin matrix the backfire term is only recognizable to magicians and the pattern arbitrary for spectators.
The second effect is also well done. |
