Was thinking about picking up a battery operated sound system and wanted to know if anyone has done any research on these two.

Sorry I can't help, MagicalEducator, but I'm not familiar with either product. If it helps any, I use Mackie and Behringer mixers and speakers in both my studio and live magic show set-ups, and I'm very happy with them.

My son plays baseball and the announcers at the games use a Europort and it seem's to have good sound reproduction. It has enough volume for their needs and they are outside. Hope this helps.

Thanks Eldon. I've heard the Behringer but have only been told about the Mackie. I currently use a Mackie SRM 150 and it's served me very well. The idea of going without A/C is somewhat appealing though.
