Don't get me wrong I have done alterations to jackets and vest before. things like putting a divider in a pocket or sewing a pocket to hold a TT. But 76 pockets. What are you going to do with them all and what dose it look like full on. I am not by any means putting this down I am sure there are pepole out there that use it.
I think what I really wont to know is who owns one and how do you find it?
Enjoy your magic,
and let others enjoy it as well! |

I have the same questions. 76 seems like a lot and it's hard to tell what it really looks like from the picture. Was wondering if someone had one and what they think of it.

The photo on Bob's site looks just like the vest available from many other magic dealers. I purchased one from another dealer a number of years back, but have never used it in performance. Many of the pockets are too small to be usable or are located in areas that are not easily accessable, not to mention trying to remember where you put things may be a challenge. Mine also came with inner dove pockets that actually would be suitable for a dove worker or small bottle production. Because the front is black velvet you can "load it up" and not appear "bulky". However, 76 pockets are far more than anyone could or should want to use during a strolling gig.
Using this vest as a jumping off point I purchased a regular vest and modified it with six inner pockets on each side. To be honest most nights I perform the same three sets of three. For most strolling magicians pocket space is "prime real estate", having a vest with additional pockets allows me the ability to shift gears and adapt to the "moment". |

When I first started out, I altered a vest & it worked pretty well. I then purchased a High Caliber Holster. What's great about the holster is that it can be designed for your needs (coin slots, etc). The holster hides away out of sight. Since you're no longer going to your pockets for a deck of cards or props, it gives off the impression that you are magic. The magic just comes off you. Everything you want to carry is available in a moment's notice, yet also remains hidden.

Maybe if you want to lose weight you could fill 70 pockets with lead to get a much harder work out. Then use 6 of them for the magic you are actually going to really use.
