It really is a wonderful monument and tribute.

"Reaction to the monument has been mixed. It was listed as one of the The World’s Ugliest Statues by Foreign Policy magazine,[8] while The New Yorker said from far away it looked like "a giant tea biscuit." [6] However reactions from the general public include "Pretty impressive," said one person and another called it a "breathtakingly beautiful creation".[5]"
As Bob, a former resident of NJ can probably tell you, given that the statue was located in Bayonne, it was probably the most beautiful structure that's ever been erected there.

I didn't notice anything in the links (maybe I missed it), but I'm kinda curious as to why the monument was "offered" to Jersey City (which refused it) instead of to New York City where the tragedy took place. Ending up in Bayonne, well, it might as well end up in that hangar in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Any conspiracy theorists want to chip in?

Has anyone thought to check to see if anything is hidden within that large tear?

Keep in mind that MOST of the workers at the Trade Center were commuters. I had countless friends from Jersey who worked in the towers at one time or another. My late father in law worked there for over a decade and my youngest daughter applied for a job there just one week prior to 9/11. |

This may have gotten coverage, but I'm betting it was the last 15 minutes of the newsbroadcast where the "life isn't so bad, look at this" stuff goes. I got there once. I did a show for a Christmas party at the cancer ward of the Hasbro Children's Hospital. I noticed that NBC and CBS were covering the party and filmed me doing my show. I sat there from 6:00 to 6:30 switching back and forth from NBC to CBS and caught BOTH stories on tape. They were at the end of the newscast. (I've since lost the tape. )

This is a crude statement but to myself it looks like
the lower part of a female's anatomy. Thus are they calling us the slang term for it? This is the first that I have heard of the 'gift'. Thanks for sharing the link, I think? |
