Hello everyone!
I have created a “flipper” type of playing card gimmick to enable an instant, self-working colour change for a routine which I hope to release in the near future. I would gratefully appreciate feedback from anyone who knows of any similar type of gimmick which has been marketed before, as I do not wish to “step on anyone’s toes”, who may have already put something out there incorporating a similar principle. |

There are lots of so called acrobatic cards around. Changing cards from A to B.
I rememder Masons "Blink" and some more. The french gimmick card trick creator has also something like that. Bromley's Simplex Monte uses this style of gaffed card. Pit Hartlings "Color Changing Mind" is a great routine. So I doubt you re-invented the wheel.

When I was in Viet Nam, I received a Genii Magazine in in 1967 with an add for his flap card, to change on card to another. The other use he invented for it was a cigarette pack, having a selected card appear on the top of the pack when smoke was blown on the cigarette pack.
Magic Inc. Marketed the Acrobatic Card back in the 1970's. There is a published book on the subject. Ed Marlo on the Acrobatic Card http://www.magicinc.net/acrobaticcards.aspx Acrobatic Cards http://www.magicinc.net/acrobaticcard.aspx There has been many different combination of changing cards. |

Several years ago, Menny Lindenfeld had a couple of tricks that used the Flipper principle.

Marc DeSouza shows how to construct a flap card, or Acrobatic Card on his Volume 1 DVD Music and Magic collection. He does it in real time, it is at the end of the video.
