I like "Tales from the Trenches" and "Fight Your Corner."
I do wish all three of you were mic'd individually. I listen to this sometimes while laying down and can't hear a word that is being said by whoever is talking as they aren't talking directly into the shared microphone. So I crank up the volume... Suddenly Ken (who has a very strong voice anyway) will burst out laughing or bark out some remark and blow my *** eardrums out of my head. Maybe THAT's my favorite part...

I'm usually listening while doing a million other things at the same time, so I don't always catch the names of what each segment is actually called, but really enjoyed the segment when you discussed tailoring to the clients needs, eg...the motivational bit at the schools!

Single best story to date: WEM. I'm still laughing...which really makes my co-workers nervous.
Fight Your Corner and Tales from the Trenches are my two favorite segments (in that order). That being said, I love the entire podcast and the fact that you guys are sharing real insights that provide a great combination of theory and practical tips. And a lot of funny s***! |

Still some jarring moments, mostly at the transitions.

Definitely 'Tales From The Trenches' and 'Fight Your Corner!' Also I know you've responded to listeners comments on the show, but I always love to hear more of that kind of thing.

The audio sounds better balanced on episode 4. Whenever someone does a "voice" though, the levels sound like he is about to eat the microphone.
All the segments are great, but I hate to say that I generally want to fast forward through Taboo, especially after 4 episodes. Maybe rotate the games each episode like Whose Line? Mentalist Death Match could stand on its own then and enter the rotation. Also what about letting listeners comment to solve ties in Fight Your Corner? Really though even if everything stays the same this is still currently my favorite podcast. |

Audio levels are better, but individual mics might be the best option. Still, it never keeps me from listening to the show.

Returning to the OP - is there any segment you'd like to have return? Or one you can't abide?
Again, we're recording episode 8 on Monday, so now is a good time to voice your thoughts. Best, Atlas |

The gum chewing bit is annoying--for me anyway. I don't mind the challenge aspect of it (with the questions), but for me the chewing gum audible and the visual that is conjured up in my mind of the three of you stuffing your faces with chewing gum falls quite flat and the noise is too annoying to for me to appreciate the attempt at humor. Just my opinion.
If you're open to ideas (forgive me if this has been put forth before), one thing I think may be fun/interesting is to have listeners send in some of their funny or crazy stories from "the trenches", pick a few and have some fun telling them and then adding commentary. No names need to be mentioned, etc. This is something that I enjoy most at conventions and think perhaps it might be a fun part of the podcast. I also sometimes think the entire podcast could be shorter. Some of the bits seem to go on forever and I lose my enjoyment of them. Overall I enjoy the banter and the show, which I usually listen to either while driving between gigs or late at night. It's good fun and I'm glad you guys do it.
