This is our newest effect UTP (Ultimate Time Perfect). In the video I call it Ultimate Time Prediction.
The presentation I show is just one version. The clock doesn't need to be in a box, it can be in full view with a cloth covering the face. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Very impressive that you can give everything, even the clock, away.
Only one question. Price?

The version of this idea Viking made was (I hear) unreliable.
This looks way cool - but for my taste I like the idea of a battery in there for a mental effect as opposed to magic.

Telling them the box is not important right now but what is important is what I am about to ask you. I would start explaining that we all have these moments in time which we will never forget. The time of a child's birth, the first time you went on a date with your wife, or husband. These profound memories are forever fixed in our conscience. I ask them to think of an event that even when thinking about it brings a smile to their face. After they tell their happy story that floods great emotions to them when they think about it. I say " I bet there is even a time you remember that when this happened" Lets say it 3:35. I get back to the box. as they open the gift I explain the gift is something to remind you of this happy event, this event that you told us today. when they bring the clock out to show its 3:35, I explain when life makes you feel defeated look back at this gift. look back at the time on this clock and allow the happy memories to flood back. It is a working narrative but I really feel it can connect with everyone. My goal using this clock was to make it less about me and more about the person and everyone in the room. I want to pull from universal connections that we all share. Anybody want to chime in and help me with this I would really appreciate it. I'm making the plunge with UTP and this is the routine I would like to put in my set in time.

Hi Brett,
I would think as a prediction the battery should not be in there, surly? Otherwise the prediction you have made prior would obviously change by the minute. Regards Peter |

Having a battery makes no sense.
Do you then explain that the clock is broken? |

Rudy please, can the spectator take out the clock himself and keep it or does has to touch it ?

When you open it and show the predicted time on the face (that you set earlier) it is so much stronger when you give the clock away and just as an aside mention that they will need to put the battery in. The way the audience thinks is that the clock can not move at all without a battery which is correct! This is just brilliant. Dp
