Good stuff guys.

Tom, interesting idea. I don't quite follow, but I'll search for the show. Thanks.

The real issue is my daughter. She microwaves her scrambled eggs and the bowl requires soaking. It's a nutritious and quick breakfast, but grrr.

Do the scrambled eggs on the stove using a quality nonstick pan. Fast and trivial to clean up. Sometimes I just have to wipe the pan with a paper towel and it is clean.

It sounds like the problem is microwave cooking related. Or does she mix cheese or something like that in with the eggs?

You need Eggtastic!!!!

On a side note related to eggs, we were taught the adage in chef school that the folds on a chef's hat (toque) represent the (at least) 100 ways a chef knows how to prepare an egg.

Unplug the microwave. She'll probably never notice and just think it's broken. You can still use it when she's not around (although it is very easy to live without one).

Microwaved scrambled eggs aren't as good a pan-cooked, but they're hardly yuck (if you don't overcook them).

Cooking spray was an excellent first step. Next will be getting her to wake up earlier to cook them properly.

A can of pam is much cheaper Smile

Seriously, I do have a good (Bosch) dishwasher. If it gets much "better" it'll start etching the plates!

Dunno, Danny. Have you tried microwaving scrambled eggs in an untreated bowl and then cleaning it in the dishwasher?

They have dishwashers with a sterilization cycle. They have them where you don't even have to scrape the plates much. They have coke a long way.
