The 3rd Tour of Alberta wraps us in Edmonton today. The first four stages were all in the Rockies in and near Jasper National Park, 400 km to the west. The temperature took an unexpected drop to near-winter conditions for a couple of days, but responded to a more fall-appropriate level yesterday.
I'm not a fan, but it has been great to see the race quickly become part of the fabric of local life. Cycling News does a great job of reporting on the drama of the race.

I am a fan, but those tires make my entire body ache! The scenery is beautiful, but unless you are coming down, you really don't see it...
