Isaac Caldiero, born in SLC and one of the worlds best rock climbers is the first winner of American Ninja. I found the following article very interesting about his lifestyle and how he plans on spending the 1 million he won.
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/how-ame......15-09-16 One very interesting item is that for Isaac, a "living wage" for him and his girlfriend seems to have been about $4.80 an hour. |

Man, I felt bad for Geoff Britten.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

That living wage, btw, is also with a lot of time off for his rock climbing, so it's not even a 12month work year.

What is "ninja sport"?
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

The series began on December 12, 2009, in Los Angeles, with the top 10 competitors moving on to compete at "Mount Midoriyama" in Japan." "During season 7, for the first time in American Ninja Warrior history, a competitor achieved "Total Victory". Two competitors completed stage three, and thus, a Man vs. Man face off took place. Both Isaac Caldiero and Geoff Britten completed the final stage, however, Caldiero had a faster time, resulting in the $1,000,000 awarded to him." Isaac was the first guy to win the championship after 3500 contestants. Here is a video of him completing Stage 3. |

The game has nothing to do with Ninjutsu. When the Japanese game Sasuke was brought to America, the producers decided to name it "Ninja Warrior." (This upsets some of the hard core fans of the show.)
I would also like to point out that I don't think the original game from Japan had a prize at all. You won the honor of winning the game, that's it. (And, I imagine, whatever endorsements you can ilk out of it.)
