I'm doing some research for an article. Can any one give me any leads on the english Memory Expert, Datas Man of Mystery, who performed in Melbourne Australia, 1910?

Datas was also the inspiration for the memory man in Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps". (Am I right, sir?)

Yes, you are correct. Coincidentally, I just read about Datas in RJ's book last week, and watched Mr. Memory in The 39 Steps this evening It wasn't planned this way. In fact I'd purchased a Dvd of Hitchcock movies before reading Learned Pigs.
Incidentally, RJ only has 4 pages on Datas (born WJM Bottle on July 20, 1875) ... 2 pages of text and 2 pictures, so it is not exactly a vast source of information.
