Yes, it's cheap, but it's also CHEAP! Really thin & light.
It's alright for a beginning cup I guess. I really didn't like the balls that come with it.

From the audience's point of view, there is no difference between a CHEAP cup and a 14k gold cup decorated with precious jewels. If the cup itself is made so that it doesn't broadcast the what'cham'callit, from the performer's point of view, if it feels good in the hand, and the you like how it responds, go for it.

RIGHT JAKEG!!!
I think all of us appreciate a well made prop that "feels" nice and "looks" nice (here comes the "BUT") but, as always, IT'S THE PERFORMER, and, his PRESENTATION that makes the magic ENTERTAINING!

Totally agree with the above BUT the cup should not be so cheap that the inside of the cup looks "odd". Also, the first couple chop cups I owned had gimmicks that were way too strong which I realize now was a huge hindrance for me learning and feeling comfortable using the prop. I didn't touch it for years because of this. Just something to think about. Can't go wrong with the price of this cup as a starting point.

The Uday was my first cup, I thought the gimmick handled well, released when expected. I got a lot of mileage from it. I only swapped to a larger cup to allow more versatile loads.

Thanks for the answer, my main concern was about the quality of the cup not what the spectator think about it :p

It's a great piece of craftsmanship, yet I hardly use it. My favorite by far, is the leather one from Frank at The Ambitious card. |

We have several chop cups, too, but my favorite (with the exception of a beautiful Eric Hansen one) is the relatively light metal cup from (I think) RAVEL. It just feels right and it doesn't look like a magician's prop!
