Ok so I have a good muscle pass. but as of the past week suddenly I cant pop the coin. Than upon doing coin rolls I noticed times that involved the thumb to carry the coin under the fingers I would fumble and drop the coin. Leads me to think something is wrong with my thumb. In fact, I had difficulty closing a regular snap closure. Anyone experienced this? Sudden loss of hand muscle? It's kid of serious!

Go see your doctor. How could any of us know what's wrong with your thumb over the internet?

You might be developing trigger thumb, have a spasm, have neurological damage, be developing Parkinson's, a brain tumor or even MS.

Go see a doctor if it's "Kind of Serious"

I agree, see a good doctor. You could have had a stroke. This is nothing to put off.

Can you use your handenoug to take a picture of the thumb in question? Maybe if we could see a picture of it we may be able to help! There may be a Dr reading who can diagnose you via the Internet. In fact I think if you write a few sentences and post your handwriting there are people who can even tell you things you didn't even know about yourself AMD predict what your future will be.

Ah got to love the Internet and all who use her (i don't know why but I've always thought of the Internet as a she! A bit like boats!)

Thumbs up and chin chin!

No, the only thing I got was a spot that hurt like heck. John Cornelius said you have to build a callus on your hand.

Don't put off seeing a specialist, it could be your life at risk.

Worthless advice from your quintessential keyboard warrior.

That's why it was strange Bill. Because I have been using the muscle pass for more 10 years.....then suddenly during walk around, the dang coin wouldnt pop. I didn't think of it at first, just figured my hand was sweaty. But the next day during practice the coin still wouldnt pop. Than I recalled a few weeks ago that thumb was spazzing out, twitching. No pain, just twitching. I'm going in for acupuncture soon.

In that case you maywnt to try homeopathy too! And maybe a psychic healer?

I still like Jay's idea of seeing a doctor! Smile

BTW I'm not saying acupuncture doesn't has its place but it doesn't work for erpveryone. Just made me feel sick and didn't help my pain levels.

There's a rare condition where atrophy can lead to the thumb just falling off.
It only happens when you tightly wrap the thumb to cut off the bad blood. So stay away from medicine men who also think you might have an evil eye.

Seriously dude, go see the doctor, you might have something.

I so do not want my third eye being deprived of blood long enough for it to fall off! Are we talking about the same thing?

So you think it's a muscle cramp as opposed to neuropathy?

Acupuncture has helped allot. As was suggested, leave it alone for a short time, be easy with the hands. Several treatments of the needles has improved the functioning allot.
