J mac, Radlabo translate just translate you some words from his blog. He explain how found a good solution and the good way. He never pretend be the best. It drift to "protection "...."patent" ... Wowww, and Inigmntoya,I can rip off anyone as long I tweak !!!!!! Everybody try to found the little beast !Really I don't understand. Sometimes it a pure copy , and when we explain he try to found his way , he rip off. Wonderful. So , every shell in the world is a copy no? What difference do you find ? Tango , kueppers , Schoolcraft , Johnson ,Vax, MKS.....and more propose flipper coin. And now , when a new try to realize good job , unpretentious , you pass your time to discredit him. Fantastic. Always off topic. My first intention was to share simply a flipper coin. Easy critic and easy attack without give a chance and see really this coin. Wich class !!! Congratulations

There are things you can do with a traditional flipper than you can't do with a gravity one, and vice versa. As for "in the end the concept belongs a little to all". No they don't. They belong to the originators. |

So a shell is a shell. !!!! The way to expand it is not important because the result is the same. It's your opinion no ? Alls gaffers copy with shell. Not important the distortion or not of the coin. Not important if the cut of the flipper is more or less visible. The flipper coin is like a shell or a sun moon. This products are in the magic world and a lot of gaffers made it. I think it's a goog way to discover good gaffs. Every gaffer try to produce with serious and quality or not. I have seen a lot of flippers. Always medium quality. A good one looks like an ordinary coin. And if Lassen arrive to produce good one , it's nice but he is not alone. And of course not necessary a pure copy.

More mumbo jumbo from Jay and Silent Bob of France.
"BMC brings one more by having modifying the method of cut of the insert to make the final work more discreet" That's the biggest load of the day. I can clearly see in his photos that the flippers are a direct rip from Lassen. Lassen is the ONLY one to make the internal groove like that. That is his design and so far no one has touched it until BMC. Even Jamie kept gluing those ridiculously designed ones and never ripped Lassen's original design. AND, BMC DID have a picture of the way he was cutting the coin. This made me laugh. He was using a small arbored saw blade on a MILL. Which may not be laughable to some, but Lassen cuts his flippers by hand with a .006 blade. Mill saw blades are much thicker than that, you can't get a MILL blade that thin, it would explode. There is one more more important reason NOT to use a mill saw blade that effects everything about how the flipper performs, I was told this by the man himself, and of course I'm not handing that to Jay and Bob. Yep, see it alot. Rip off a design from an originator, make it worse, say it's better, and charge more for it. |

"When we cut the hinge we lose necessarily some material (cutting) env, 0.2mm) and this loss is going to find itself when we shall position the set in the part shell. Indeed the insert having lost on a part of the diameter it will not perfectly be round any more and it will see itself in adjustment on the border of the shell. Consequently I assemble 2 parts cut on a support which I put back in the tour and I manufacture so as to return the perfectly round set, so we have a fitting like a sun moon for example what returns the very discreet set."
I missed this. That's right. Using that bulky mill cutter, it removes too much stock, the insert is obviously not round anymore, so they put the 2 pieces back together and make it round again. Retarded. And, how do they remill the edge of the 2 pieces after this? They don't. I guess. His flipper inserts have smooth edge. Yeah, that is so much of an improvement I guess they deserve to rip Lassen. Right. |

Still one who understood nothing. First BMC NEVER pretend to be the best or made a revolution. I speak on my name. He just try to found how a flipper can be invisible. So , he try to limited the matter loss with the cut. And adjust the insert after the cut is "a"solution. If your mind can understand that , you can also understand that the method is normal. He share this solution on his blog and never pretend anything. If you don't like , pass your way. Nobody force you to like. If you were tried to discover without prejudice , Uou have read he speak about Lassen. But it's With just a simple photo you are sure that s a copy.just because this flipper look like a normal coin. Have you notions about mechanic , ? Wow!!!!! In fact , the only way to be respected is to produce an horrible flipper. A **** flipper ?? Keep cool Lassen is one of the best and his reputation is done. You can stop your show.

Oh mister Univers , I Forget , the 2 pieces back together and the edge is remilled after. Yes !!! How , !!! That's rightly the solution he proposed. I don't want explain how in this forum but it's the reason why I found it wonderful.so before always want to look down at people , maybe we can discover before have a blast

No worries explaining how he does it, if he could he would. He posts everything on his website. But it is obvious that he CAN'T do this, as the edges of the coins are NOT remilled.

Do you see the remilled edge of the morgan on right ;-)

elainevblaine Regular user 140 Posts |
No.
And if he remilled the edge of the insert, you would see it on the closed flipper. You know, the one where he remills it round again and all to hide his giant saw cut. You would see the remilling inside the shell edge, but it is not there. |

Mirror?
I see no milling on any of the inserts. If I strain my eyes, I may imagine the faintest inclination of a milling on the Morgan dollar. The others, have none whatsoever. What an improvement. This is the hands of gold, best in the world? It's crappy, and it's a copy, as admitted by you. Now back under your bridge. |

He ! Here are again the comic or fanatic , I don't know. If I don't understand that Lassen is your God !!! Have you at least of engineering knowledge ? I don't want continue to answer , it s a waste with people bounded. But just , these coins aren't all remilled , of course it's French coins and don't need ! Secondly he never pretend be the best and just craft for some magicians, I just share. And the notion of copy is completely wrong. He just made a standard flipper like every craftmans. They are not all the same level finish. And I found his job just exceptional. Lassen made wonderful set to. It's not a problem! He tried to bevel the edge , and fit the insert after having cut for a best adjustment. A personal work. After it s a simple flipper ! We understand your opinion. Pass your way. A minimum of luggage and arguments before criticizing.
