I've posted this on another forum too. I wanted to see what fellow Mentalists made of it and who is entering the competition.
A new theme park attraction called WC16 is opening at Thorpe Park, UK next summer and it's Derren who's behind it. He describes it as a world first for a Mentalist - not TV, stage or show but a ride. He's been working on it for 3 years apparently. It's still all hush hush but the "ride/experience" is 13 minutes long and is based around perception and psychology. There is also a teaser campaign to win tickets to the grand opening. http://www.mindswanted.co.uk is the website. There are a series of 7 clues/puzzles which must be solved in order to enter the competition. They are not explained, you just have to solve them. (I've got 3 so far and the 4th is to be released mid November). I wonder what the experience will be? Sensory deprivation? Inducing fear?

This sounds very much to me like a tv show in the making!

The plans look like a Victorian warehouse environment. The website features cogs, wheels and a brain connected to some machine. Merlin Entertainment (who own Thorpe Park) have recently taken out a copyright on two names: "Chronicles of London" and "Automatrons". Derren said he has been working on this for 3 years which takes us back to 2012 - his Svengali period featuring an Automatron. There is also a company in the UK famous for making automated props and machines for stage and theatre. They tweeted that they have something special going on at a theme park but won't say what.
