Last winter I couldn't be screwed to go out in the yard and chop some firewood, so I tossed three dozen decks of Nuggets into the fire. Seriously. If I'd a know they were worth $122 a deck I would have watched them burn.
Whenever I find myself gripping anything too tightly I just ask myself "How would Guy Hollingworth hold this?"

I looked at the link with all the different back designs, and some of those were ultra nice to look at. I'd give anything to have a deck of the Golden nugget cards.

Michael close has an effect on his worker series the requires a deck of Golden Nuggets. Unfortunately, after he spills the beans on how to do the effect, he gives not a clue as to where to obtain the darned things.

He just sort of leaves you on your own. Not a very pleasant experience.

To be fair to Mike, a few years ago anyone who was into magic would have known how to get their hands on these decks. It's basic. Why should an author spell every little thing out for us? Besides, can't you substitute another back design?

If any of you actually know the buck twins, maybe you could bribe them to sell you a deck, or if not, you could always resort to more violent methods (remembering that once you have cut their fingers off, they won't need the cards any more)!

I received a deck of red nuggets as a gift. They are ok, but a little too stiff for me.

Why anyone would buy them I don't know... They are old and brittle...

I don't think anyone here has answered what makes these cards so special? I find that odd concidering how many people here love the cards (as well as hate them). Can somebody please explain?

From what I hear Dave, is that they are allegedly wicked durrable and have a certain "snap" to them that other cards don't. Still, I don't care if the things will get up in the morning and make me coffee, I wouldn't pay that much for them!

Yeah, but if you think they're overpriced now, just imagine how much they'd cost if they made you Starbucks.
