Rhonda has finally lost and boy did she lose with a thud! Holly put a clinic in her with her boxing and Rhomda for some reason wouldn't stop charging in and getting popped on the mouth every time. Rhonda did get her on the ground and attempted her signature armbar, but Holly quickly escaped and got back to her feet. That rarely EVER happens! Round 2, more continued getting popped in the mouth by Holly and Rhonda falls down and gets back up only to be met with a high kick to the head and she falls limp to the ground with Holly quickly getting a few hammer fists in to ensure that she's out.

Awesome job Holly, Rhonda has finally lost and it's a loss that she'll never forget!

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Man, I totally misspelled Ronda's name!

But I agree, Buster Douglas was in the house!

While Ronda is a great fighter, she was in need of a little humility.

She has lost a lot more than a match. The whole "this athlete comes along one time in history" thing is done. That will be expensive.

I am disappointed. As a judo player I loved seeing one of ours dominating.

My prediction is coming true! I predicted the loss... I also predict that Rousey will win the rematch and the third fight will be the biggest full contact type money fight in YEARS!!! Just hide and watch. Smile

Folks all over the world said Rousey would crush Holm and that Holm's victory was "shocking."

Shocking, that is, unless you live in Albuquerque. We knew what Holly was capable of.

I'm capable of drawing an ace if I double down with 20. Doesn't make it the expected result.

I salute both fighters for going in and giving it all they got.

Most will never know that feeling.

Everyone was waiting for the big match up between Rousey and "Cyborg" Justine. I was one of the few that stated on this very forum that Cyborg would walk right through Rousey with an easy victory. Everyone was buying into the the media hype about Rousey. Holly Holm exposed Rousey and her lack of striking skills. Holly will knock her out again in the rematch and then Cyborg will easily beat Holly to take the belt.

I have to say I didn't expect this result at all. How tien rahrah aide it was about as likely as your example.

Interestingly enough in hindsight of course, this was her first fight in a while where she wasn't wound up about some imagined personal anger at her opponent. Usually she is angry about whatever and it is personal. This time no.

Not sating or mattered, or it happened energy time, just it didn't happen here.

Rhonda ran her mouth before the fight and Holly fixed it! Got to love when Karma steps in.

Rousy is still a dominant athlete. Many refer to her as a one trick pony. As you point out she has a striking weakness, which would be fine if the defence against striking was ok. Obviously it was not.

I indeed remember your saying Cyborg would walk right through her. I have no time to find the thread but you mentioned the striking weakness I believe. No doubt.

Don't know how winning 12 of 13 fights categorizes someone as being dominant? Maybe if Rhonda would have won even 20 or more fights you might be able to use the word "dominate".

There are far fewer women in the sport so perhaps 13 is enough.

The difference is that drawing the ace would be luck, Holly had control of her outcome.

Also when preparing for a fight of this magnitude one should not spend so much time of TV shows and going around promoting oneself. As in poker you can count your money when the dealing is done. Until then in this game train, train and then train some more...and focus on the NOW.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000
