I've been playing with my shiny new American Eagle coin. Man, is it gorgeous! Thanks to Zee for mentioning them - the ones he uses - as a size up from Morgans/Ikes, which I had thought to be pretty much the largest coins typically used for coin magic. For certain holds and moves, it is perfect in my hand. The Eagles are 40.6 mm, compared to the 38.1 mm Morgans/Ikes.
Really beautiful:). Ken |

It does look amazing in videos and in real life. But I would be very sad if I drop it.

I agree Flyswatter. I usually only practice with them for my own entertainment, and only if I am over carpet with a thick carpet pad underneath.
The other view is that I purchased them to use, and occasional bumps/dings/scratches are just normal wear and tear for a solid silver coin. Jim

You can also find copper coins of very close size online to for a few dollars. I really like using them for a very visible transposition. I think it also helps spectator tracking which is where when they see these huge coins.

Bignickolson,
I agree with the use of copper bullion coins. If I could just get past the copper smell... Jim

Hm, I've never noticed it, but I don't have a super great sense of smell...
