Is there a version of this illusion that is a one man operation? I'd like to use it to use it as an opening effect to make myself appear, but would rather not have to hire an assistant to do it. Thanks guys!

So I've seen someone do it, but it got boring quickly. It was way too slow and we were just sitting there watching a box wiggle for a while. Without someone on stage a box, whether moving or not, was hard to watch.
What could be fun is if you added some media to it. For example have a very focused light (pre-program a moving light or use projection), moving around on the stage and have it interacting with the box which moves in response. At some point the light hits the box vanishes and the interior of the box starts glowing. Punching holes in the box could make it look very cool. Finally, you come out. I think you get my point. If it's just a box sitting there wiggling, it's a bit slow for an opener. If you can spice it up and you'll be able to take it to a very interesting next level.
