There will be some audience management involved.

Gimmick is clever. Much more thought went into it than I expected.

Am I missing something?
I went on youtube and watch EOIN OHARE SLEEPER explanation. According to the set-up the card that rises is trimmed around the edges to make the card smaller. Hocus pocus video shows that the rising card is a regular size card. It this a new version that he's selling. Ricky |

How difficult is it to make a new gimmick once it wears out?

No need to make a new gaff!
Only part of the gaff will eventually wear out, this part takes a couple of minutes to replace, and the Sleeper gaff is supplied with plenty of refills of this part.

I'd like to buy this, but does any UK magic dealer stock it?
I don't want to be hit by excessive import duty & £8 exorbitant collection fees etc... |

One to have a look at when at Blackpool next month me thinks...
Can the card be signed or is that a dumb question?

Have any of you looked at the several bizarre, off-the-wall “exposures/explainations” for this trick on YouTube? Pretty amazing what fantasy solutions people come up with.

This got a glowing review on Alakazam's latest video blog. Very clever, versatile gimmick.

Like the fact that this can just be slipped in to a regular deck and not a complete gaffed deck.
If you can switch it out easily this should be a winner. |

Mine snapped after about 10 minutes looks a bit of a bother to repair it, too fiddly
