I am sure this must be somewhere... however this wonderful forum would be considered "big data" in the business I am in. Hence I write to ask again... sorry if this is a dupe
I will be "entertaining" some folks and thought packet tricks would be good. They'll be in a lunch Café I probably need about eight. Twisting is one The trick where aces are "weighed" (sorry... name escapes me) A three card monte I have a few more. I thought I'd ask for a few recommendations... only want to use cards that may be examined post trick please Thanks to those that answer...Happy Holidays |

Any of John Bannon's "Fractal" effects
Royal Scam** Duplicity** Spin Doctor** Any effect from his short dvd "Fractalicious" (Comes with a set of needed (and examinable) cards) and many more in print from different books. The stand alone dvd's of the effects come with the cards you need but most sets can be made up from different decks you may have lying around. Off the top of my head, I would also add: Twins - Brother John Hamman Color Monte** - Emerson and West (for the 3 card monte in your list) The 4 Card Trick - Alex Elmsley Cannibal Cards - (a plot originally by Lin Searles) (too many versions to zero in on one but several out there). Card Warp - Roy Walton The "IT" Trick** - Gregory Wilson Color Aces** - Magic Makers **(cards are included and examinable) There is a great book titled "Focus" by by Phil Goldstein (Max Maven) review - http://www.magicbookreport.com/2012/02/f......ldstein/ It is full of absolute Gems (if you need future reference) This is just some off the top of my head stuff, I am sure thee is a ton more. Happy hunting, hope it helps.

Thank you so very much. This is exactly what I was looking for. I know they are "out there" and "scattered" and it is a bit of an imposition to ask. However folks like you just know this stuff.
I am on this right now! Happy Holidays! |

You say that 8 packet tricks should be good. Are looking for number of effects or are you looking to fill a time slot?
Just wondering because some effects play longer than others. Here are a few more: Jazz Aces Hitchcock Aces (substitute other cards if you don't want to be redundant with the aces)

How much time are you looking to spending performing?
And are you going to be performing at various points during the evening or try to put this all in one stretch....sort of a quasi-show?

This is a give back to thank a venue for their facilities use. So it'd be off and on for maybe an hour. It's during lunch. Thank you for asking.

Great suggestions from Poof.
I'm also a big fan of Bannon's "fractal" effects, especially Royal Scam and B'rainiac. |

Thanks to everyone. Coincidentally I had just picked up a Daryl book. Such a fine magician and teacher he is.

There is a thread titled "Packet Tricks that Use Cards From a Normal Deck" which has a lot of suggestions--all of which meet your criteria. If you want some more ideas it may be worth checking out.
