When you say "marginally stronger"... what is your gut feeling on the new box? I carried my Triptych to the Magic Castle West Coast lunch in the original box housed in a back pack. I was quite gentle but found the box had blown apart when I went to retrieve it. Luckily the Triptych was unscathed. My point in asking this question publicly is that as you stated, the box is a bonus gift. If you feel that the replacement box will be a useful vessel for Triptych, I'd love to have one and would be happy to pay the shipping or whatever. If however this box may also soon fall apart - or even worse lull us into a false sense of security as we cart our precious Triptych around, maybe there should be some additional discussion about the boxes before you go to any trouble? I am uncertain how much I'll be carrying Triptych around, but I'd be willing to consider purchasing a secure accessory box for it. If it's not clear by my post. My point (and opinion) is: If the new boxes aren't measuring up to your standards, maybe avoid the hassle of completing and shipping. Just let it go, and thank you for trying! Or.. point us in the direction of a box we can purchase ourselves - or if you prefer, offer up a true accessory for sale. If the new box is good to go, I'm happy to at least pay for shipping or.. whatever. I appreciate your good will with the boxes. It was a lovely gesture. Hate to have you bogged down on this. BTW to those on the fence about the second wave of Triptych. - This is one beautiful and creative work of art. It's big.. and heavy. It's a lot of magic. Possibly more than I can handle.. but it is quite the incredible creation. As usual Professor BC's manual is very well thought out and the routines are pretty sure to amaze. Super cool. |

Horus1: I appreciate all you say and thank you most sincerely. The boxes are a disappointment to me as I had intended them to be very special indeed--something to brighten all of your faces as a delightful and unlooked-for bonus. The new boxes will probably be fine for storing and use. They simply are not as lovely as I had expected (or was led to believe when first talking to the box maker). This is what comes of not doing it all myself. I have learned.
That is all water under the bridge, however. The box now represents a promise, and I will keep that promise. I just need time to get free enough to set into preparing, packing, and shipping them all out. As to your offer to pay the shipping, I will not hear of it. It is a very kind offer, but this is my obligation, and I will see it through. I do very much need some patience from all, however, and that is all. As I mentioned earlier, this is my 'hectic' year academically. Fun, to be sure, but with a great many demands on my time. I sincerely apologize for making everyone wait on the boxes. BC

Hello Professor...
I agree with Horus1...the box, it seems, although a very nice gesture on your part...really doesn't seem to be at all worth your time and hassle. I have a beautiful carpet bag I transport my Triptych in...the velvet bag covering the work of art...within the carpet bag works very nice. Thank You Professor...Continued Success, Dr. Dan |

I totally agree with Horus1 and Dr. Dan.
I will wrap this Triptych in cloth and a soft bag for any transport as the box adds unnecessary weight anyway. The box indeed was very nicely crafted and served its purpose of protecting the Triptych while in the mail system. I hope the Professor uses his free time to happily create more magic and not bother with building boxes. |

I absolutely agree with what has been said. Belay the boxes. Save the shipping expense and the time expenditure. Devote your, Prof BC, efforts to your academia and then to your continued efforts with providing us amazing magical effects. I am thoroughly satisfied with Triptych by itself. My box is doing fine and I see no need for another.
