How many women magicians can you name? Now compare that to your list of male magicians that immediately come to mind. I am confident that the former list is far shorter than your second one.
This week on The Magic Word, street magician, Billy Kidd, talks about some of the challenges she faced and continues to face as a woman in a male dominated art. She also talks about her role on the short-lived U.S. television series, "Wizard Wars". She appeared in the first season as a contestant then replaced Angela Funovitz as one of the "Wizards" in the second season. You can watch a video of one of the people who influenced her street act, Nick Nickolas, see some additional photos of Billy, read the blog, listen to the podcast online and download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwell......lly-kidd You can also stubscribe to The Magic Word through a link on the website, too.
