An illusion in which an assistant inserts his head thru a cutout in the table and covered with a box. The body is in full view and the head is slided with the box from one end of table to other

I believe that is the property of David Copperfield. He does not allow anyone else to know his secrets to his illusions. Never heard what he called it.

I thought that originated with Dedi of Egypt, as published in the fourth story on the Westcar Papyrus, c. 2700 BCE. Dedi left his secrets to posterity. He didn't mention Andre Kole or David Copperfield by name, but they certainly figured out what he was doing and came up with modern versions. So can you. I give you my permission as one of the descendants of Dedi, if you can figure out Dedi's secret, go right ahead and use it.
