I love this effect!
It's a real nice three phased routine all very well thought of. All the principles in this routine are very interesting! It's a routine to do, when you have time.. I would also do it only if seated... (no there is no lapping ) hope this helps... http://www.magicbooks.be

If you order this book directly from David Williamson, he'll send you an autographed copy and a deck of cards with Aunt Mary's picture on the back of each one. Pretty cool. By the way, David is truly insane. If you've ever seen the video he does with clips of Ozzy Osbourne in the crowd you will laugh your a*!% off.
The line between genius and insanity is thin and I think Mr. Williamson walks it daily. |

I've tried it with the non-Faro version and it really worked for me. Although I can't do a Faro it seems there is a big advantage to this version is that the spectator shuffles the cards before each dealing. There are a lot of neat details in the manuscript that with the right match or performer, audience and style could make this a real performance piece. Its a pricey manuscript but I highly recommed giving it a try and see how it plays...I was VERY pleased with the reaction it got for me.
Make every day a magicial adventure

I tried this trick tonight, for four of my friends,Very sadly,I lost the first round,But with some patter,I ignored it,and got to the final effect, the react was ok,but it really hurt that I lost the first round.I win the first round every time when I practice.I don't know why I lose the first round ,I did not do anything wrong,I think you should check there are no groups of red cards and black cards, otherwise, you should shuffle the cards more.

Don't forget that in the first round the deck is short 4 cards. You should add four to your count, increasing the odds that you win. It is possible to lose the first round but it's highly unlikely. You should have twice as many matches as either of the others since there are four possible outcomes and you are getting two of them viz. RR BB RB BR. You are getting the RB and the BR. Your opponents are only getting 1/4 of the possible take on the average. You are getting half.
In a well shuffled deck, you should very rarely lose the first round. Mike

Yes,I added 4 cards to mine and still lost. And they can even see the differnce of the thickness of the packets.Maybe I was just unlucky that night.

There's a 1 in 128 chance of flipping a coin seven heads in a row. However if you flip a coin a couple of hundred times and record the outcomes, it's very likely that there will be a streak of 7 or even more heads in a row.
You're going to lose the first round once in a while. You could do a color separation and a faro to alternate the cards. A casual overhand shuffle by a spec would likely leave a bunch of RB and BR pairs, increasing your chances of winning. Mike

Thanks Mike.Check the there is no groups of reds or blacks beforehand,It's not that safety as I thought if the cards are not well shuffled.
