...is a lot of money.
Do you play? (I know it's not entirely rational but I do.) What would you do if you won? If you have kids, how would you protect them from the dangers of sudden wealth? Fun topic.

Ahh, the relatives. No doubt they would ALL come out expecting to get their 'fair' share, even the ones you didn't know you have. I believe I read somewhere that the only way to legally get around kin folk filing claims to your newfound riches is to proactively give them some of it as a gift and have it documented. Presumably this way they are less likely to feel entitled to it?

Be aware that the lottery is a tool of the elite to give a slim measure of hope to the impoverished, so they waste money on false dreams of wealth rather than building guillotines.

15 or 20 years ago a young woman at work won a little over $1M in a lottery. With 48 hours she had 3 marriage proposals-- one from an ex-boyfriend and two from strangers.

I don't normally play, but once in awhile I drop a few bucks. It gives me a few days of pleasant daydreams of what I'd do if I won. It's chesper than a two hour movie (and usually better).

I hardly ever play, but at $8 million I took a chance ... and lost. Now that it's even higher, I'll try again.
If I won I'd pay off all my debts and more back to New York City, and then think about what charities I could sponsor. My own life would stay relatively the same ... I'm not into excesses (any more) and I love working! Don't have kids to worry about, but I'd have to make sure my cats don't develop a "diva" attitude. |
