There is a reason why we sell out with this effect at conventions, where people see what they get before they buy.
All the others who have ordered online without knowing what exactly they receive, they either trusted Tom Stone's or my name and the experience they had with Tom or me in the past. If you release anything that does not hold up to the promises in the advertisement or that is not really practically, then you might not hurt the actual sales as the buzz drives people to buy, but a disappointed magician will tend not to trust your words in the future (maybe some of you remember the buzz around "Little Man", think about the trick as you like, but the problem was the difference between the advertisement and the real product).

Yes Christian you are right, unfortunately some of us don't go to many conventions to check the things in person and we get the info either from friends or online buzz...
In my experience with you unfortunately wasnt good at first - I ordered the first release of Phoenix decks and they sucked in my opinion, the cards stuck out of the box didn't spread too well but now USPC all good Companys start with what they have in hands which is always a good start and they keep improving like the way you are doing! THANK YOU once again for this! Either ordering from you or from 2 guys selling theirs online * brand new cheaper Have a great day! |

Yes indeed, the initial five prints at USPC sucked. Nearly cost me my existance. I am thankful I survived and as you see, even after six + years, this still leaves a shadow on my reputation. I tried everything back then to solve the issues by going "all in" and doing a much bigger reprint while fighting for a compensation over 18 months. I stopped selling the bad decks as soon as I knew about the quality problem (what did not immediately show up but after using them a short while)
Here is my offer that I can do now, six years later: Tell me your name and order number / our invoice number (in a PM) and I will give you a store credit of the amount that you purchased back then. That way you could get the Factory Blanks probably for free.

Wow wasnt expecting that... pm sent
Reality sometimes is not what we expect and I understand that you had struggles and perhaps made you think in giving up but 6 years later you didn't, Congratulations for that!!! Happy for the good news! Hope to get the FBlanks as soon as possible. Cheers |

But so happy you persevered and came out victorious in the end. It's great to have more options and a company producing cards intended for magicians. I never had any of the early decks but that's a nice offer you make to those who did. No doubt one of the many reasons you have achieved the succes you have. |

I for the life of me could not figure out what the hype was on these decks with the quality being that of what I would get from Wal Greens and they did not have the large jokes. So yeah new decks of those first runs are out there and still being sold.

Please give me the name of the dealer and I will get in touch with him so that I can exchange the decks. I definitely not expected that. Get in touch with me by PM and I will see how I can fix that experience for you.

A funny coincidence that the dealer who shipped them out to you is the new "Card-Shark USA". For all of you who are not in the view: Roger Nicot, former Card-Shark USA (my USA warehouse shipping out all orders) left the USA last year to move to his wife in the UK. The new Card-Shark USA is Donnie Buckley, who also owns Rings n Things in Cleveland. He is a great guy.
Matthew got Phoenix decks from Donnie, but back in middle of 2014. That makes it easy to fix that issue, even if Donnie and I cannot see how there could be a chance of having the crappy decks from 2009 in inventory as many decks moved since then by him. Matthew, I will continue communicating by PM to get you satisfied.

If all goes well, I will post a full performance of Factory Blanks performed for a group of real people. We'll see how the reactions are.

For all of you who want to exchange the Factory Blanks with double blank cards: I think that plain white double blank decks will work. It is all about perception, and the cards appear as white as you would let them think they are white.
To be able to do a switch for a deck of double blank cards, you would need have a matching card case. Well, my thought is that the cards coming out of the cardcase need to have the same color. A grayish card case with white cards inside would look awkward, while a white card case with the writing "Factory Blanks" would match the cards inside. These cardcases I am producing right now, you could get them for cheap and put in your own double blank cards inside. Does that make sense?

Well I wasn't able to get a video sadly. But the audience loved it! They got a big kick out of the routine.
At one point the guy forgot his card and pulled it back out to check. The crowd went crazy. They thought that was hilarious. It was a very fun routine. Btw, the person I performed the trick on said, "No way... There's no way!" When I named his card. So both parties are definitely amazed. |

So, I read only part of the 13 pages here. My question is. If I buy "Factory Blanks" today. will I get the same old version with issues or a new improved version. Or are we talking about another effect that had issues. Please understand, I am not being lazy, by not reading the entire thread. I am traveling a lot and only have use of a small cell phone.
Thanks Dave |

Madison,
Thanks for the info. But let me ask. What do you mean by "Every one is as good as it can possibly be." Thanks Dave |

I am still confused. Why would anybody want to exchange them if there's nothing wrong with them?
