I received mine yesterday and the coins are really nice. Great packaging too. The coins don't look exactly the same but it won't matter in a month or two when the black paint starts wearing off with use. They are slightly loose as Gomerel said but the gap is only the thickness of three sheets of printer paper so I consider that acceptable for the price. The coins have a lot going on so it's not even casually noticeable nested with the mouth up from a couple of feet away. The jumbo is awesome too. I have a Morgan size Johnson Hong Kong coin and there is no comparison on the fit. However the Hong Kong coin costs as much as this whole set. This is an awesome set and I will be picking up a set in half dollar sized too. Highly recommended for the price. I hope my computer plays the mini DVD. I can't wait to see what's on it.

Be careful when you purchase these. Many sellers don't sell the jumbo coin with the set. It seems to be that Chinese sellers offer them only. Penguin sells the sets but without the jumbo coin. Just an FYI to look for.

I've been thinking of getting a set of these, but can't find the !@#$**r anywhere. Does anyone know of a good source for them? I lurked too much so can't ask in the seller's forum yet.

Ahh, I see someone (or something?) edited my post - that should have read fl****r, though I swear I'd censored it already, and the word was already in funsway's post here.
I see the sets on ebay frequently, but it seems the last listing with the fl****r was in November. Thus my question. |

I thought you meant you couldn't find the f'ers anywhere, and typo'd an r instead of an s!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Since posting last year on this, I picked up a Luohanquian !@#$**r on ebay and it is reeeeally nice. The work in invisible, especially since the face of the coins is so busy - hides everything. The price was low enough I rolled the dice on getting it because I figured it would be OK, though maybe not great....I was pleasantly surprised.

That is hilarious...posting the above changed "F-----r" so it looks like I was swearing in cartoon.

The instructional DVDs that came with my sets of these coins is one of those 3-inch mini-DVDs. Unfortunately my slot-loading computer doesn't work with those smaller DVDs, and it also won't play in either of my blu-ray players (it fits, but I just get error messages).
Anybody in a similar situation have any luck with a workaround, short of buying an external disc drive that can play these things?

If you're interested in jumbo Chinese coins then taobao has lots of options, but you'll need to speak to your Chinese reading friend. For example: https://world.taobao.com/item/522707904299.htm
taobao also has quite a few interesting Chinese coins that are not in magic shops. I wouldn't use this one for a colour change though: https://world.taobao.com/item/544926309600.htm |
