Does anyone use the commercially available envelopes made for Nick Einhorns Nesting Wallets vs the "fabric wrap." Is the effect any different to the spectator by using the window vs opaque envelopes? Any pro's and con's other than the expense of the envelopes ?

I always use the envelopes. I just think it is a much stronger ending to have the coin in a sealed envelope. I always use Bonsalopes from PropDog. They are much better than the others. http://www.propdog.co.uk/bonsalopes-magi......ra-small
Using envelopes does make reset a touch more difficult but well worth it for me! |

The window will defiantly telegraph the climax killing the suspense of the climax, if the marked item is visible before being removed from the envelope. I like the little cloth, as it builds suspense and anticipation for the reveal. So orient the coin or item so the sticker or mark does not show through the window.
I use my wallets as a climax to an Ellis Ring routine, so I don't use either the cloth or envelopes for this routine. Which you use as more to do with what you are trying to accomplish with your routine(s). You may find the cloth better for one routine and the envelope fits nicely in another routine. |

Is the sealed envelope examinable? If so, having a signed coin showing in the window could be advantageous because you could end with the coin still sealed and hand it to them as you leave. This would create a talking point as they would continue to investigate the envelope as you leave.
I use the handkerchief normally, although currently use nothing as I produce a mercury folded card from it as part of a 2 card to wallet routine. |

Yes, the envelopes are examinable. You hand the spectator a sealed envelope that they have to tear open to get their coin or ring.

Is there a DIY method for this style envelope? Pardon my question, as for some reason the link isn't working for me at the moment. Or maybe there is a vendor from my side of the pond?
Sorry if the link answers my inquiry. |
