I'm asking about behavior that demonstrates an ability to make models - for example one cat telling another cat about where to find the milk or which of the folks in the other room is nice. "differences" - sorry not my intended message or tack - similarly people have their own ego trips without need to project issues onto animals. This is about things we could use to claim similarity. How similar. Do cats have names for eachother. Do whales tell stories in their "song" that include births and deaths?

The folks upstairs have had rescue bulldogs for years. That dog looks like it's enjoying surfing.

Okay Landmark - How do you feel about the economy of "no brainers" given competition for resources? Plenty of recent story examples so we don't need to wallow in politics. Swarm, Rorshack, a completed Circle,...

I don't know what you are talking about. How do you feel about them, and why do you think they are important?

"no brainers" are optimized for performance. A creature optimized for fairness to its cells would not be competitive.
I'm okay with my foot cells not getting educated and not voting.

On a side note to Laurie most of our dealing with other creatures on this planet has not worked out well for them as a whole. They are food or tools or entertainment,
I do not want to derail the thread, although that seems impossible, and I have no solution for this but it is what it is. Heck I am not even saying it is a problem, just that it hasn't worked out well for other creatures dealing with them. If I was one of these creatures it is possible I might very well prefer to be left alone.

So, no problem with disenfranchised feet cells. If you are making a larger analogy to the society of humans (and again, explicit words would be useful) then, no, I don't believe in exclusion of anyone's voice. I'm a pretty strong believer in democracy. How about you?

Previously, the OP asked if pharma product is more damaging than the narco product we war against. I posited the larger ignorance /consent/moral stupor as battleground. Our Landmark argues self sovereignty as relevant. I am skeptical of that position in this larger matter of social context. We both acknowledge the relevance of society in this matter. He raises the #individuallivesmatter banner.
Landmark, it seems to me that boat sailed long, long ago with Hobbes Leviathan. Do you disagree? The branded hero as principled metaphor to elicit consent...seems more current. I've cited sources supporting that position. Do you have sources to support the Rand/Dagney and John (Galt) position? Here's the current dialogue... exploring what others might make of us. Hint: That's been brewing since 1905 and embedded in language at the most common level since that "is" moment. You gonna distract singing "I will survive" ? How's the weather in New Hampshire?
Wondering what the kids will bring back as souvenirs. Recall that story from yesterday and that youngsters from a local town are off to watch the primary elections there. Thinking about the Vermont state of the state address. Ignorance ... Enhanced or enabled by drugs? Or is that the new Coke vs Pepsi ?

When a wisely irreconcilable midwife hides, a lowly clodhopper reads a magazine. He called her Toscanini (or was it Mitzi?). The pocket is likeable. A swamp ostensibly gives a pink slip to some ballerina inside an impresario.

Someone should start a thread to see how many different tangents a thread can go off on.
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.
