I'm trying to find out if anybody knows of a marker that dries after a certain time period. I am looking to have a card signed and I want to be able to wipe it off with my thumb after say 10 to 15 seconds but after that time it becomes more permanent. I would have to play around with dry race markers to see if this can be accomplished. But, I th out I would ask here also. This would gteatly help me rework an effect of mine and make it impromptu, which is always a plus.
Thanks, Brian.

Instead of searching for marker, search for plastic cards

I can try this, but I prefer to use standard bicycle cards. But I don't see the difference of plastic cards. What I need to accomplish is ink that will dry on a card after a short time period but can still be secretly rubbed off before drying.

There is a ballpoint style pen available at office supply stores that allows the ink to be erased for a few minutes and then sets up and becomes permanent. However, I do not know if it would write on a playing card (it is difficult to get most ink to work on cards) but maybe since this ink is different it would work. And I don't know if you'd be able to erase the ink with your thumb, but worth a try.

Try to inject pigment ink into a marker. It stops the ink from drying up right away.

You can also use a small amount of matte fixative on the card to make the ink wipe off after a longer period of time.
