Curious, When using a mini chop cup strolling? Do you just toss it in a pocket? Has someone created a holder? Other than maybe having a large loose pocket made into the bottom of a suit jacket to store while doing another effect or walking around just so you don't have to physically carry it the whole night, is there a solution for this? I love chop cup for shows, but have not wanted to do it strolling just for this reason, so I have been eyeing a mini for a while now, just haven't pulled the trigger on one for this reason alone.
Just curious. |

Are you familiar with the Splash Bottle gimmick?
If so I'll tip one of my methods for carrying my chop cup. Place the working balls in your right pants pocket together, drop your final load into the Splash Bottle gimmick, invert the cup over the final load. All will be held tightly together by the gimmick. When ready I would borrow a napkin and produce the cup from it as I handed the cup to be examined I would fold the napkin and use it as a close up pad. Then reach into the pocket and drop the balls in the cup. I think you can you can figure out the rest from there. If not you can PM me |

Oh yeah! A splash bottle gimmick. In fact I might have one laying around somewhere. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks!
A quick side question. What's the size difference between a mini chop cup and a micro chop cup? Is a micro the size of a thimble or something? Anybody have some comparison pictures of like a regular cup, a mini and a micro all next to one another? |

Different cup makers use the terms differently, but I think a Mini-cup will hold a golf ball final load while a Micro-cup is smaller like a shot glass.
Nothing would get done at all, if man waited so long that no one could find fault with it.

I carry a purse. It solves a lot of these issues.

Ottokar Fisher created a ball holder (cloth tube with a safety pin on the top and a rubber band in the seam of the opening at the bottom) that is a very convenient hold out for a micro or mini cup(s) ... and if you know a bit about billiard ball magic and Larry Jennings one cup routine, you can make the cup magically appear....
