Gary has spoken to me about this a while ago, it looks an interesting idea. I am supposed to be receiving a preview copy like Michael to experiment with and come up with feedback and additional ideas. I'm still waiting to receive it but look forward to it...

You can reveal:
The main colour of the photograph of the recipe.
The main colour of the smaller photograph on the right hand side.
The first word of the recipe title.
The number in the ‘Choice Rating’ Box

Wouldn't it make more sense to be able to actually talk about the food? Vaguely describe the picture, reveal smells, and tastes and maybe eventually the name of the dish or main ingredients?
The colour of the photos, the "choice rating" and first words of the titles (which seems to be words like "tasty", "enticing", & "tempting") just don't seem to fit with the content of this book.

I really love the idea of a book test being built into a functioning and high quality recipe book... but I feel like this has missed the point of a recipe book.

People love flicking through and looking at the pictures, the sights of those photos can make your mouth water, and start to feel hungry. You can almost taste it!

Gary - what are your thoughts on this? What are your reasons for creating the particular reveals the way you have?

Cheers,

Sam
