Guys,
I am planning to redesign the subtrunk. It currently breaks down for transport. To hold it together, I am currently using an angle with holes. Bolt threading and T-nuts. Takes some time to build. Does anyone have a better method, to hold it together. Pin system? Fasteners? Something that will reduce setup time. Thanks, GR

You could use a loose pin hinge. Rosebrand.com is one source and carries a variety of sizes and styles.

I think Blackstone invented a type of loose pin hinge where the pin is spring-loaded and remains connected to one half of the hinge. It seemed highly practical for preventing loss of the pins. It may be in Micky Hades book, The New Make-up of Magic, or possibly in some Abbott's publication.

Michael,
I believe that's found in the Jim Sommers book, "Build your own illusions". |

Loose pin hinges are the fastener of choice.
For hidden features, try SOSS invisible hinges. |
