Hello everyone,
First of all I'm not 100% this is the correct forum for this post, but I understand that the managers can move posts around to the proper one. Now, I don't know about you, but I feel OVERWHELMED from so many releases, downloads, tricks and effects, magazines, books, dvds, etc. Not only it's very difficult to keep up to date with everything but I became confused as well. So several months ago (probably more than a year) I started compiling all types of lists for releases, tricks, magicians, effects, etc. I posted in the Genii section an index for magicana for 2015. Now here is a list of Penguin Magic releases for 2015. I don't have any type of connection with them (financial or otherwise) but if they want to send me some free gifts I wouldn't mind... On the other hand I respect them highly because they are very good at business. All of this lists I make really help me clarify and understand better all aspects of magic. Also, to see where others are going and where I want to go. So without further ado... The ones marked with * indicates that is an instant download 2015 Dec 15 Dec - Past, Present and Future by R Lax * 12 Dec - The Favorite Cards of My Friends by Rafael Benatar * 10 Dec - The Known by Thom Peterson 07 Dec - As Real As It Gets by Losander * 04 Dec - Tequila Hustler Nov * 25 Nov - Simply Amazing by R Giobbi (six self wrkng miracles) * 19 Nov - Bond by Thinking Paradox (linking finger rings) * 17 Nov - 24 Karat Fold by Gregory Wilson * 05 Nov - Pulse Rate by Matt Mello 04 Nov - Vortex by Dan Harlan 02 Nov - Electric Deck Pro by Wladimir Oct * 29 Oct - Stegosaurus by Phill Smith * 28 Oct - Torn and Amazed by Michael Ammar 22 Oct - Xpert by Neil Tobin 21 Oct - Self Tying Shoelace by Jay Noblezada 20 Oct - Blind Man's Wallet by Menny Lindenfeld * 15 Oct - Code Breaker by Michael Murray and Gregory Wilson 05 Oct - Dream Totem by Rick Lax Sep * 29 Sep - Amazing Standing Card by Gaetan Bloom * 28 Sep - Tarbell 38: Modern Coin Effects * 24 Sep - Airtight by Jay Sankey presented by Matt Johnson * 22 Sep - Chaos and Order by Dani DaOrtiz * 17 Sep - Rich Lax - Rip & Fold * 15 Sep - Binary Code by Rick Lax 14 Sep - Energy Coins by Matt Mello * 11 Sep - Visions by Marc Salem * 10 Sep - Waxed by Lonnie Chevrie (T&R dental floss) * 09 Sep - Mind Over Metal by Menny Lindenfeld * 03 Sep - Tembus by Robert Bertrance (presented by Matthew Johnson) - bill passes through other 01 Sep - No Joke by Rick Lax (NFW by Gary Freed) Ago 27 Ago - Coin On Call by Aljaz Son - coin changes in cell phone photo * 25 Ago - Born to Perform Card Magic by Oz Pearlman * 21 Ago - Osterlind's 13 Steps: Step 11: Q&A Routines * 20 Ago - Roberto Giobbi LIVE (Penguin LIVE) 18 Ago - Mind to Matter (Mind Power Deck by John Kennedy) presented by Rick Lax * 13 Ago - Stain Alive by Gregory Wilson - prediction of a random stain of coffee 10 Ago - Revolution by Greg Wilson * 07 Ago - Blindfoil by Patrik Kuffs presented by Matthew Johnson 05 Ago - Bounce No Bounce PRO presented by Dan Harlan 03 Ago - Thought Plucker by Rick Lax Jul * 30 Jul - Imaginary Ball by Matt Mello * 28 Jul - Slow Motion Bill Transpo by Eugene Burger 27 Jul - The Ultimate Three Domino Monte * 23 Jul - Oculus by Brandon Queen * 21 Jul - Take Note by Seamus Maguire presented by Atlas Brookings * 17 Jul - Tarbell 33A: Mental Magic (7 stunning mind-reading) 16 Jul - Peanut Butter and Jelly PRO presented by Dan Harlan (dos frascos cambian de lugar) 15 Jul - Panic by Aaron Fisher (vanishing deck) * 14 Jul - Incinerate by Brent Braun (burn & restored matchbook) 08 Jul - Walk on the Wild Side by Dan Harlan (Wild Card)* * 03 Jul - Tarbell 33: Illusions * 02 Jul - Promo by Marcus Eddie - business card printing Jun 30 Jun - BLOCK BUSTER By Tony D'Amico and Mark Mason - coin vanishes and reappears on top of selected card * 26 Jun - Osterlind's 13 Steps: 7: Metal Bending * 22 Jun - Criminal by Menny Lindenfeld - T&R bill 18 Jun - Cookie Bite by Eric Ross (presented by Rick Lax) - eated and restored cookie * 16 Jun - Untouchables by Ryan Schlutz and Jeff Pierce 11 Jun - Sew-On by Roddy McGhie - * 07 Jun - Juan Tamariz LIVE (Penguin LIVE) * 05 Jun - Tarbell 31: Rope Magic * 04 Jun - Drawn Again by Danny Archer - drawing duplication * 02 Jun - No Hasslehoff by Ryan Schlutz May * 29 May - Osterlind's 13 Steps. I've probably bought about half of them and loved 90% of what I got. I always prefer to purchase from Penguin, just top shelf all around service. Bought something from Ellusionist over a week ago and still haven't received it where I would have gotten it in two days with free shipping from Penguin.

Not sure I get the point of this list, and also a lot of the releases you listed were not Penguin exclusives

The list is missing some of the Tarbell installments. The series is up to chapter 45 now, despite a slowdown in the release schedule.

Yes I find Penguin Magic always has top notch service in every aspect. I've been shopping with them (not exclusively there are other great dealers) for over 6 years. I have never had a single problem.

Penguin releases are top notch - yes .
But what's the list for ?

This list makes no sense. Some of the products are years old.

I like the idea of the list because for a few I had bought it was kinda fun to see when I got it or that I got it over year ago or whatever. But then I may be in the minority in that I'm a bit OCD about dates and remembering when certain things took place.
But it also shows how difficult it is to compile a list such as this that is totally complete and accurate. Several were released long before the date indicated and I'd be willing to bet there were some omissions as well. Also, it wasn't clear if these were meant to be Penguin exclusives or not. It seems like they were but several weren't. But all in all I do appreciate the time and energy you put into compiling it. Looks like you may be a little OCD about making lists of things, but that's good because I always would like to but my laziness usually wins out. |
