If he doesn't go over how to remove the photo from the Recently Deleted folder, that's very bad. |

Not only that but I just do not see how to get around two different photos. When you snap a pic of someone unawares, their eyes might be closed, they may be looking down or up, they may have their hands in their pocket or on their hips. However, when you say "Hey, lets take a photo together", they are going to smile. They may stick out their tongue. Put up the peace sign, hang ten, chunk deuces etc. It is an occasion to act silly. Nowadays, people are real anal about their photos. How in the world do you pass one off for the other? You also have to sell being totally ignorant, which for some, may be true due to the large amount of different phones out there. I purchased it, watched it, thought the whole premise displayed clever thinking, but it takes too much for granted. It is certainly not an effect you can do anytime, anywhere to anybody. Leo |

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the context but it sounds like you're implying girls are somehow less tech savvy than guys which is both inaccurate and sexist.

I was so disappointed with this dvd. Other Morgan releases that I have are top notch, but this one is a miss. Nice idea, but very impractical to do. I cant believe that WPR gave it such high marks and I think now that maybe their reviews are not always their reviews.

You use their phone so it helps if you're familiar with both Android and iOS.
Basically according to the tutorial you borrow their phone and play dumb for a minute. Pretty much act like you've never seen a smartphone before. While playing dumb you secretly do the dirty work. So if you're known as a techno geek to your family and friends it would be difficult to pull this off for them, so that eliminates family and friends, which now limits it primarily to working pros in that case. I just didn't care for all the playing dumb. Not that I couldn't pull it off but it creates a bit of dead time while you fumble around like an idiot and there are a few things you have to make sure are set correctly. If it goes great the effect can look good, and there are things you can do to maximize your chances, although the explanation doesn't really cover this very well. But a certain amount of the time you will end up with some photos that don't look the same at all. Then you need to take the phone again and play dumb some more while you get rid of any evidence that would allow them to backtrack and discover what really happened. All in all, just too much of a hassle for me although others may love it. There are just too many other sure fire and hard-hitting effects for me to want to mess about with this. IMO, the majority of times it just won't look all that good for all the trouble entailed. |

I see, but in the modern era, I doubt you can go around playing dumb of not knowing how using an smartphone. that may be a difficult part to engage the audience as its obvious that in hi tech society that's it's hard to play dumb. Discussing this with my Friend, I found out this effect isn't as workable as seen the in promo video. thanks for clearing some of my doubts @ videoman

You could justify acting dumb by doing a fake IQ test and bring the result slip ( lower than 100 ) around with you while while you perform . At least that way you can prove that you are really D.U.M.B.

If he borrowed my phone and did this, the evidence would be in the Google photos backup as well as the Dropbox and Box backups of my photos. I wonder if he thinks he could borrow my Galaxy S 7 and perform this without leaving a trace in the cloud of the method? If I'm mistaken that my multiple instant cloud backups of my photos or a similar setup in iCloud doesn't destroy this trick then I'll buy it. |

Psychic Escape
Man has an invincible inclination to allow himself to be deceived and is, as it were, enchanted with happiness when the rhapsodist tells him epic fables as if they were true, or when the actor in the theater acts more royally than any real king. So long as it is able to deceive without injuring, that master of deception, the intellect, is free; it is released from its former slavery and celebrates its Saturnalia. It is never more luxuriant, richer, prouder, more clever and more daring. - Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche |
