Manny,
I have read almost every post on this subject through the search function and I didn't find a black and white answer. It's kind of like a "what kind of oil should I use" thread on a Harley forum. There are a TON of threads on this subject on the Café through the search function. My best advise is to read them and make your decision. Also since you are considering the higher end gaffers don't rule out Joe Mogar or Mark Mason/Bob Swadling. Good luck! |

A shell is like a thumb tip. If you have the money to buy the very best...go for it but I would't let it stop you from enjoying a great routine or coin magic in general. I have a Dean's set and the quality is tops but I still don't let it set or allow close examination.
The flip side is the other coins, a softened coin will make a run of the mill shell so much much better. Honestly any shell does the same job....it's about your ability. Buy the best you can afford and enjoy the art. |
