Both the card box and the pouch are gimmicked. If your card box wears out, some simple arts and crafts will provide a brand new one for you. The pouch is what makes this routine so strong. You show the card that is inside and when it is removed, it turns out to be the signed selection. We have seen things like this before such as the Mullica wallet. The mechanics of this make the switch a whole lot easier and, as you can see in the video, it looks almost self-working. It is not quite a self-worker but this is well within the skill level of even a beginning magician if he is willing to put in the practice time. No difficult, knuckle busting moves and once you get the rhythm flowing, this is a powerful routine.

Apparently this has been around for a while (Copyright date 1980) so I am surprised I had never run into it before. The magic is strong and the gimmicks are both clever and well made. Reset is pretty much instantaneous so it would be great for walk around or restaurant work.

This is well worth checking out and I would recommend it.
