This has been discussed a lot in the past, in fact, reading those posts led me to purchase the Roland Cube Street EX.
Trying to make sure there have not been any advances that I need to be aware of since the last time this was discussed. I am performing at some festivals but mostly backyards, living rooms, and churches. But I want to have a little more than the minimum I need. That's why I went with the Roland Cube Street EX. I have been delighted with the sound in my initial testing. For my microphone I plan to get the Samson Airline Micro (over the ear) http://www.samsontech.com/samson/product......oearset/ And One Track to run my iPhone music (cannot begin to afford Cue Command at $595 and Show Cues at $89.99 does not seem to add enough to make the price difference worth it with One Track costing only $14.99) Also, the iJet wireless remote. So, does this look like a solid plan? What cautions, advice, or considerations would you tell me? Thanks.

Thanks for posting this. I've been kicking around the same thing. I did have a sound guy for my bigger shows-resorts up to 150 audience members. He hurt his back, so rather than hire another guy I was thinking about running the music myself. The trouble is I was considering using a cd player with a remote. that would be kind of clumsy with all the buttons. Your idea makes a lot of sense. I have a small sound system and my mic is super easy to hook up. I'm on a limited budget as well. I'm curious about what folks have to say about your idea.

Bluetooth 30ft range. Plus you have to "pair" it.
Ijet 125ft, radio frequency. Advice, buy both.

Curtgunz,at one time I tried the Satechi remote. It worked very well except that after a period of no buttons being pushed it would enter sleep mode where you had to press twice, once to wake it and then again to get the function. Trouble was you never knew when it was in sleep mode.
I do use the Samson Airline earset and love it. I use it with a system similar to the Roland Cube. |

Here is an Update:
I bought the Roland Cube Street EX Samson Airline Mic Satechi Remote One Track I am very pleased. ____ Pros ____ Roland Cube Street EX is amazing. Very pleased with the sound. Four input channels. Huge sound (Filled up a school gym with music and my voice without even using 25% volume. The Street EX is basically two Roland Cube Streets put into one housing. Weighs less than 20 lbs total. Remote works well. One Track does what it says, creates playlists and plays them. Samson Airline Mic is great. Battery operated receiver and mic means I do not need a plug. This whole system will work in field. Do not have to even worry about where an electrical outlet might be. ____ Cons ____ Roland Cube Street EX is expensive $400 USD. Samson Airline Mic is $250. One Track is very basic (met my needs but there are not a lot of bells and whistles) The remote took a little getting used to. _______________ Overall Verdict _______________ I am DELIGHTED. I would buy this again. It is wonderful to be able to use it without plugging it in. Comparable to a nice PA that requires AC power. I never had to think, "This is pretty good for a portable battery operated system." Instead, I just thought, "This has great sound for ANY system."
