I have used these in the past, but I find the big list of them a bit distracting.
I'm all for fun and whimsy, but I clean user interface is a very good thing!

Jordini, they're still there it just took too long for the hundred or so smilies to load on each and every page. For now, all you need to do is click on the link provided and type the actual text of the code into your message like this:

(This was done by entering the word "dancing" surrounded by ":" one on each side.

At the bottom of the white blank area that says "post a reply" there is this message:

The words SMILE CODE are highlighted in gold, if you press these it will open a new window that will take you to a list of smilies, there you can choose which ever you like to add to your message, just copy and paste the :NAME: into your message.

No, you can;t be banned for using the smilies, which is probably a good thing, I tend to use them a lot myself.

However, I did delete the majority of the page that you put up Jordini in It's not magic still... for overuse of smilies. and somewhere we do have a rule about "not going crazy with the smilies. as they do use up too much bandwidth.

So.... Jordini, Knock it off!

Um, yea sorry about that. I didn't realize it would be SO huge. Unfortunatly Mya, you also deleted the pickle, which was a big part of my message. I fixed it with not quite so many peppers, a pickle and a carrot (for flavor) In the future I'll Whoops, sorry.
In the future I'll try to not go quite so crazy. Hehee.
