Instead of asking for suggestions of questions, why not think 'what would I really love to ask?'. There are no rules, it is your show, ask whatever you want! Amuse yourself, ask serious or bonkers questions. Others suggestions of questions won't fit you, and unlike methods (which we all share) things like an entertaining question to ask is unique to the performer. I know for my show there are simple questions I have worked on for years. Simple moments that are uniquely me. If going through this process seems daunting check out the link in my bio. The creativity notebook might be right up your street. Good luck on your journey.

I created a version using scrabble tiles instead. The premise was that when playing scrabble everyone always wants the blank tile since it acts like a wild card. I would have them pick the tiles out of the bag using the same procedure as in Kurotsuke.

While Kurotsuke is a popular routine among mentalists (because of the simplicity of the props and the ease of the method), I doubt that most of your audience has actually seen it performed before. Not many folks go to see a mentalist live, so the odds that they've seen another perform it are extremely low. I've always gotten a fantastic reaction from performing it and never once has anyone indicated that they've seen it before.

I used to do a routine I used when talking to business people. The theme was around seeing a black pebble on a beach full of white pebbles and asked them which one they would pick up? Of course the answer would be the black one. I started the story after they all had the "pebbles". I went on to say how we are always drawn towards anything that stands out anything that is different and often goes in the opposite direction from the herd. How important it is in life to become the black pebble. I would then be "drawn" towards the back pebble through being able to see and feel the minute differences the one with black one would have. I would eliminate one by one leaving the last person the one with the black pebble. I would usually go on about marketing principles and USP's market differentiation etc as part of an over all "persuasion" tactic. The black pebble principle is genuinely a really powerful concept. I used to like making my mentalism have a real point to it.
